Bucket Filling Spirit Week

Students at Paragon Charter Academy recently celebrated a Bucket Filling Spirit Week with three days of themed dress-up days. Scholars participated in Hawaiian Day, Classy Day, and Crazy Hair and Sock Day.

The event was inspired by Carol McCloud’s book, “Have You Filled a Bucket Today,” which encourages children to express kindness, appreciation, and love to themselves and others, daily.

“Bucket-filling is a wonderful metaphor to use with children both at school and at home,” said Sally Clark, dean at Paragon Charter Academy.

Jim “Basketball” Jones kicked off the event with a performance and positive words of inspiration to the students. Throughout the three days, students had many opportunities to practice doing kind things for each other. The event concluded with a bucket filling parade on the last day.
