Mountain View Academy is a tuition-free public charter school in Colorado Springs serving students in grades K-8. We shape instruction to build on the strengths and abilities of each student and integrate Moral Focus™ lessons into every school day. As a result, our students are well-prepared from kindergarten through eighth grade. A Stanford University study found National Heritage Academies partner-school students gained the equivalent of 3.5 months of additional learning each year compared to peers.

Welcome to the Yeti Family! We’re excited to welcome our NEW MVA families for the 2026–27 school year! Join us for an evening designed to help our newest families feel connected, get to know our school leadership, and learn a little more about being part of the MVA community. We’ll start with pizza and a Family Yeti activity, followed by a short welcome from our principal and time to connect with other new families and our MVA team. We’ll wrap up the evening with a build-your-own sundae bar. This event is specifically for families who are NEW to Mountain View Academy this school year. We’re glad you’re here and look forward to spending the evening with you!
Bring the whole family for an afternoon of fall fun at Mountain View Academy! Enjoy treats and prizes, music and family fun, fall photo opportunities, and a special appearance by Eddi the Yeti! Plus, don’t miss our Chili & Soup Cook-Off, where you can enter your favorite homemade green chili, red chili, or soup and compete for bragging rights! Awards will be given for Best Green Chili, Best Red Chili, and Best Soup. Admission and all fall festival activities are FREE and open to the community. Want to help choose the winners? For just $5, you’ll receive a tasting spoon and three voting tickets—one vote for green chili, one for red chili, and one for soup. Taste the delicious entries, choose your favorites, and cast your votes! All tasting proceeds from the Chili & Soup Cook-Off will benefit Mountain View Academy. We can’t wait to celebrate the season with you!
