Mountain View Academy is a tuition-free public charter school in Colorado Springs serving students in grades K-8. We shape instruction to build on the strengths and abilities of each student and integrate Moral Focus™ lessons into every school day. As a result, our students are well-prepared from kindergarten through eighth grade. A Stanford University study found National Heritage Academies partner-school students gained the equivalent of 3.5 months of additional learning each year compared to peers.

Our Kindergarten Readiness Camps are a short, fun, daytime experience that help preschoolers feel confident and excited about school — all while introducing our Moral Focus Program. This event is open to any newly applied or interested kindergarten scholars and families! Each one-hour session includes a hands-on activity, time with a kindergarten teacher, a snack, and playground time. February is Courage = Helping children practice being brave by exploring a classroom, meeting teachers, and trying something new. These camps give families a relaxed, authentic look at kindergarten life while helping children build confidence in a school setting. We hope you can join us!

This family event is an excellent opportunity to hear from school leadership, ask questions, explore our school, and learn more about our commitment to academic excellence, Moral Focus programming, and the extracurricular activities offered at Mountain View. After the kick-off presentation from our leadership, families will get to break off and learn more about their specific grade levels. Student ambassadors will be on hand to help give tours and answer student specific questions. This event is open to all incoming, new, and interested families. We looking forward to meeting you!
