Dress Code

A flexible and cost effective dress code has been established at our school to encourage academic success while reducing distractions and competition. Implementing a simple, flexible, cost effective dress code promotes student learning and increased academic instruction time.

Uniform Store


Grades K-5

Bright green* (preferred - see below) or white short or long-sleeved polo

Grades 6-7

White dress shirt with custom green and navy tie* and navy blazer

Cold Weather

May include sweaters or vests that are solid navy, white or black
All cold weather attire must be free of any designs or writing (for example, stripes, wording, etc.)


Shirts must be tucked neatly into bottoms at all times.
Undershirts (t-shirts worn under uniform shirts) must be white and must fit appropriately under the uniform shirts.
Undershirts may not have longer sleeves than uniform shirts.

Hair & Hygiene

Students’ hair must be kept neat and clean and should not obstruct their vision during class.

The personal grooming of students should be in accord with the standards set by the uniform dress code. Students should be clean and neat when at school.



Navy blue conservative slacks, dress pants, or shorts (seasonally)



Navy blue pants, shorts, Capri pants, jumpers, skirts, and skorts



All girls' bottoms must be at least one inch longer than the fingertips when the student’s arms hang at her sides.
Belts must be worn with all pants and shorts.
Belt loops may not be removed from pants or shorts to avoid wearing belts.

Not Allowed

Pants with carpenter loops or stripes.
Denim/blue jean material, knit pull-on pants, jogging pants, or decorative embroidery.

Hats, Shoes & Accessories

  • Solid black athletic shoes may be worn; however, the laces, soles, and emblems must be all black
  • Conservative shoes, including loafer style, dress shoes, or closed toe sandals, may also be worn in colors navy, black or brown
  • Shoes must be worn appropriately (i.e., laced and/or strapped all the way for safety purposes).
  • Socks must be solid black, brown, navy or white and worn with shoes
  • Tights for girls must be solid white or navy
  • Snow boots may be worn as outerwear only and may not be worn in the classrooms
  • Girls in K-5, heels on shoes may not exceed one (1) inch
  • Girls in 6-8, heels on shoes may not exceed two (2) inches
  • A reasonable number of earrings, bracelets and rings are permitted (principal discretion) for girls - Only ears may be pierced


Not Allowed

Hats of any kind or hooded sweatshirts.
Tattoos, writing on skin, makeup or "fake" nails.
Dark glasses or any distracting jewelry.
Piercings in areas other than ears (girls). No piercings for boys.
Shoes with wheels, airbrushing, house slippers, flip flops, symbols other than manufacturing symbols (i.e. Nike, Reebok) are permitted on school grounds, in the gym, on the sidewalks, in the parking lots or in the playgrounds.

Interpretation of the dress code is at the principal and staff’s discretion, and their decision is final.

Not Allowed

Wearing, carrying, and displaying gang paraphernalia, names, signs, or symbols of gang membership are prohibited as well as any reference to drugs, alcohol, violence, weapons and inappropriate language or acts.
