Hi, my name is Dr. Amanda C. Brown and I'm the principal of Four Points Preparatory Academy. We provide a dedicated team of curriculum instruction specialists who their sole job is to make sure that we are providing the best of everything to all of our scholars. All of the resources that are prepared for teachers have been prepared for them to move away from lesson planning to individualizing the lesson plan for each scholar. They get to move around. They get to play with manipulatives. They get that productive struggle that really builds the process for learning. We'll have Chromebooks in the classroom so they'll be able to interact with different digital platforms.

Four Points Preparatory Academy is great and making sure that the scholars and the humans who leave here leave with the tools that they need for college readiness and beyond. We want to instill in them that learning is a lifelong process. We want them to understand that it's fun and it's how you grow and it's how you feed your mind. We want to be a school where we can reach out to parents to tell them the great things that are happening not only in their academic life but with their character.

There's a dedicated curriculum, dedicated time in our schedule where we teach Moral Focus, we apply Moral Focus, we celebrate Moral Focus, we have Moral Focus assemblies. And so it's not just something that we're putting on our website. It's something that we are teaching. It's important that when they leave an NHA school, they know how to be good humans and take care of the hearts of other people. When teachers stop and have those conversations about character, it really builds confidence in kids.

The foundation of physical safety in the buildings with the alarms on the doors, with all of the cameras, with our partnership with Brazen PD, which is right across the street, which I think is going to be an amazing partnership. They're already on board with us to come and help us do our drills and that's going to be something that's really exciting and provide emotional safety and physical safety for our staff and our families. We are building the school with the community in mind. We can't wait to see you with positive minds, positive vibes in a positive school.
