Learning is a lifelong process that extends beyond the walls of the classroom. At East Arbor Charter Academy, students can explore their interests, learn new skills, and make new friends through a variety of extracurricular activities. Learn more about the programs and activities we offer below.

Activities and Clubs: Kindergarten - 2nd Grade

Community Service

Moral Focus virtues are practiced beyond the classroom! Scholars who participate in service projects get the chance to model compassion and courage by working to meet local needs.

Field Trips

Each year we take learning outside the classroom and invite parent volunteers. A variety of age-appropriate outings are planned for our scholars.

Spanish

English-speaking scholars are taught basic Spanish in this program. This includes a variety of language activities for verbal and written practice.

3rd - 5th Grade

Girls on the Run

We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum. The program runs for 10 weeks in the spring.

Community Service

6th - 8th Grade

Band

We offer band for our students to express themselves through music and teamwork.

Choir

Our choir program includes lessons in choral singing, musical terms, and vocal skills.

National Junior Honor Society

This program was created for outstanding middle schoolers. These students are often recognized for efforts in academics, character, and service.

Science Olympiad

Middle school scientists set goals and compete in science projects. We encourage commitment, group learning and active participation in this program.

NHA Shines: Stanford Study Shows Our Students Surpass Their Peers by 3.5 Months Each Year

A recent Stanford study shows NHA partner-school students continue to outperform their traditional public school peers. They do so by gaining nearly three-and-a-half months of additional learning. NHA also earned the new “gap busters” designation for outstanding progress in eliminating learning disparities for minority and poverty students.
