Dress Code

Below is the approved dress code for the 2026–27 school year. Our dress code is flexible and affordable and helps students stay focused on learning.

Plain white polo shirt.

Plain navy blue polo shirt.

Navy Blue Pants

Tops

  • Long- or short-sleeve white, navy blue, or light blue collared shirt
  • Students may also wear solid navy blue, white, or light blue sweaters and vests
  • Wednesdays: Students may wear Detroit Merit pride shirts with uniform bottoms

Bottoms

  • Solid navy blue pants, shorts, skirt, skort, or scooter

Shoes

  • Shoes must be loafer style, dress shoes, tennis shoes, or closed-toe sandals with backstrap
  • Croc-style shoes, slides, and shoes without backstraps are not allowed
Hand drawn belt and tie.

Accessories

  • Socks must be neutral colors
  • Tights and leggings worn underneath uniform bottoms must be solid white or navy blue
  • Navy blue, light blue, or white headbands 2" or smaller are allowed

P.E. Uniforms

  • Tops: White or black t-shirts with DMA logo (may be purchased at the beginning of the school year
  • Bottoms: Black sweatpants with DMA logo (may be purchased at the beginning of the school year)
