Back to School Means It's Almost Showtime at Chandler Woods

Back-to-school season brings fresh notebooks, new classrooms, and the excitement of seeing friends again. At Chandler Woods Charter Academy, it also means students are already looking ahead to something else, the next episode of The CW Morning Show.

Now entering its sixth season, the student-centered talk show has become a school tradition that celebrates everything happening across campus.

The show began in 2020 when Achievement Behavior Support Specialist Bradley Becker and now Middle School Dean Tim Rodriguez, were looking for a way to keep students, families, and staff connected during the COVID-19 shutdown.

"We wanted to celebrate students, recognize teachers, connect with families, and keep our school culture strong," Becker said.

What started as a creative alternative to school assemblies has grown into a professionally produced show. From star students and classroom projects to athletics, field trips, talent showcases, and staff spotlights, every episode highlights the people and moments that make Chandler Woods special.


Creating each episode is truly a team effort. Becker writes the scripts and hosts the show, while Rodriguez serves as creative director, transforming photos and video into an engaging production complete with memorable opening skits, music, and storytelling.

The impact reaches far beyond the screen.

"When we first started the show, it felt like the glue that kept our culture strong and positive," Becker said. "Even now, it reminds us of all the great things happening at Chandler Woods."

Throughout the year, staff members submit photos and videos, and students can't wait to see themselves and their classmates featured.

As another school year begins, the CW Morning Show continues to do what it does best, bringing the Chandler Woods community together and celebrating the moments that make the school year unforgettable.
