Transportation
Advantage Charter Academy now offers bus transportation to eligible students through DS Bus South. To apply for busing, please log in to the Parent Portal and fill out the bus application in the forms section.
Parents are expected to provide the means for their children to get to and from school if busing is not available. If you need any help or have questions, we're here to support you! Use the contact us form below and we'll get back with you shortly.
Busing
Free busing is offered to eligible Advantage students. Eligibility is based on a state of Louisiana requirement that families live within the East Baton Rouge parish boundaries.
If your child needs busing, apply as soon as possible. You can submit your bus application online through the Parent Portal, or you can print an application and bring it to the front office.

Drop-off and Pick-up
Help keep arrival and dismissal safe and efficient by following our drop-off and pick-up procedures each school day.
Drop-Off & Pick-Up Times
Drop-off: 7:35 a.m.–8:00 a.m.
Pick-up: 3:00 p.m.–3:45 p.m.
What Families Need to Know
- Enter from the Plank Rd. entrance only.
- Drive slowly and watch for students and families.
- Be patient and courteous to other drivers.
- Do not use your cell phone while driving through the parking lot.
- If you need to speak with a teacher, park and visit the school office rather than stopping during the dismissal process.
