Early Middle College Questions from Families Like You

Who does Grand River Preparatory High School partner with for Early Middle College?

We partner with Davenport University and Grand Rapids Community College for our Early Middle College Program.

If you have questions, please contact our Early Middle College Coordinator, Abigail Dixon.

Why choose Early Middle College?

In addition to earning up to 60 college credits and an associate degree or certificate at no cost, students in Early Middle College programs are more likely to:
  • Graduate high school
  • Report a positive school experience
  • Expand their career opportunities
  • Successfully transition to college
  • Complete their degree
  • Graduate with less student loan debt

What makes NHA's Early Middle College program different?

While some schools offer Early Middle College programs, oftentimes they are limited to a single professional track or certification. Our program offers multiple pathways for our students, allowing our students to explore their interests and keep more options open for the future.

What support will my student receive?

From the start, your student will have a team to guide them through their Early Middle College journey. This includes counselors and advisors, an academic coach, and faculty members.

Together, they help build an individualized plan and provide ongoing support through each year of the program.

How do we support Early Middle College students academically?

Students in the Early Middle College Program receive ongoing academic support to help them stay on track and succeed. Our team regularly monitors student progress, provides guidance when needed, and works closely with families throughout the program.

Parents also receive regular updates so they can stay informed and involved in their student’s academic journey.
