Center Line Invites Community to Celebrate Start of School Year

Center Line Academy families and neighbors were treated to a collection of fun activities during the school’s Community Family Fun Day on Aug. 17. The school parking lot was turned into a petting zoo with farm animals, bounce houses, a gaming trailer, food, and dancing.

Scholars were able to take pony rides and interact with sheep, chickens, rabbits, and other animals while parents could learn about services provided by area childcare organizations like Little Prince & Princess’s Learning Center and Victorious Kids Latchkey Centers.

“It was a great opportunity for students to enjoy themselves,” Admissions Team Lead Afaf Saleh said. “We had students who ranged from grades K-11th to enjoy different stations. A high schooler was excited to get the opportunity to ride a horse for the first time. This truly made my day!”

It was a good time for Center Line staff members to interact with parents and students at school, but outside of the normal structure of the classroom.

“The best part of the event is parents and students got the opportunity to interact with the principal, deans, and a few teachers,” Saleh said. “It was nice to see even parents be a part of the event as well as they danced and enjoyed food. Everyone was able to enjoy themselves!”

Great work, Center Line!
