Dress Code

A flexible and cost effective dress code has been established at our school to encourage academic success while reducing distractions and competition. Implementing a simple, flexible, cost effective dress code promotes student learning and increased academic instruction time. 


 

Boys

 
 

Tops

White, light blue, or navy blue shirts with collars. 

Bottoms

Navy or khaki bottoms only.

White, light blue, or navy blue shirts with collars.

Bottoms

Navy or khaki bottoms.
This includes pants, skirts, skorts, or jumpers. All bottoms must be either longer than the fingers when the student’s arms hang at her sides or no more than three inches above the knees.

Solid color brown, black, navy, or burgundy shoes (loafer type or casual dress) must be worn. Tennis shoes are also permitted.

For girls only, a reasonable number of earrings are permitted. Only ears may be pierced.

BVA School Spirit Day occurs every Friday. Students are permitted to wear a BVA spirit shirt their uniform pants or skirts. A BVA spirit shirt relates to school sports’ teams, 6th grade camp shirts, school sponsored field trip shirts, cheer teams, or Challenge Day shirts.

Cold weather attire may include solid-colored sweaters or vests that are navy, white, beige, tan, burgundy, rust, gray, or dark green.

Green BVA sweatshirts or fleece jackets (order through PTO) are permitted.

Hooded sweatshirts are not permitted.
