Why Southside Academy Charter School?

Founded on academic excellence, moral focus, parental partnership, and student responsibility, Southside Academy Charter School is a school like no other – one that can lead to a lifetime of success. We set high standards, focus on real-world skills, problem solving, and how to be a good citizen. Our exceptional teachers meet students at their ability level and challenge them to go beyond. Our students also draft a social contract that reinforces their commitment to their school, their teacher, and each other.

"My children are both doing amazing! I love everything from the uniforms to what they’re being taught, including the moral focus." - Southside Academy Charter School Parent
Top Reasons Parents Send Their Children To Our School: *

Nate Parkhurst, 7th grade, was the Southside Chess Team's MVP at the Pops Media Cafe tournament today with 2-1/2 points. Way to go, Nate! Each person plays 4 rounds. Nate was in the Grade 7-12 divsion. That means he was facing high school students, like junior & seniors from schools like FM, J-D, Liverpool, ITC Central, and The MPH School. That's tough! Where were all our 7-8th grade lunchtime players? Our team, Nate & Kelvin Shelton, could have used your help. Let's get more 7-8th grade players to the next tournament -- at MPH in January.
