Why South Pointe Scholars?

Founded on academic excellence, moral focus, parental partnership, and student responsibility, South Pointe Scholars is a school like no other – one that can lead to a lifetime of success. We set high standards, focus on real-world skills, problem solving, and how to be a good citizen. Our exceptional teachers meet students at their ability level and challenge them to go beyond. Our students also draft a social contract that reinforces their commitment to their school, their teacher, and each other.

"We are very happy with the education South Pointe has given my son! The staff is great! My son is having fun and learning at the same time." - South Pointe Scholars Parent

An Update for Middle School Electives (Concerning Band and Art): Good Afternoon Middle School Parents! Mrs. Hunsaker and Ms. Stout were trying very hard to create a rotation schedule for electives for this coming year. However, this was not best serving you and your child's schedules. Therefore there will be no year long rotation schedule for band and art for 2014-2015. What does this mean for you if you have signed up for these electives? Band will be a 6th-8th grade class that will meet every day all year long. There will be a voluntary after school Band rehearsal for advanced students that will meet weekly as well. For those students who were in band in 2013-2014, the schedule will be the same for this upcoming year. Choir remains unaffected and is still a by Trimester class. If your child has signed up for band and they wish to stay in band you do not need to take any action. If receiving this information changes your student's mind about which electives they would like to take, please call the school before August 1st to make any changes with Mrs. Williams. We believe this schedule change is the best way to serve our students. For music questions, email Ms. Stout at 96.lstout@nhaschools.com and for art, Mrs. Hunsaker and 96.mhunsaker@nhaschools.com. We hope you are having a fantastic summer and we can't wait to see you soon!
