Angelia Coleman, Principal

 

Education:

  • Grand Valley State University - Bachelor of Arts, Elementary Education
  • Ferris State University - Master's, Curriculum Instruction

 

Previous Education Experience:

  • Taught various grades for six-years in the Muskegon Public School District
  • Served as an elementary principal in the Grand Rapids School District for three-years

 

What do you like most about working here?

The staff and students are amazing! There is a true sense of teamwork that exists which will be essential for our work in the future.

 

Personal Information:

I have a wonderful husband, three children and a four-month old pit bull named Baebe.

 

 

Amena Moiz, Dean Grades 6-8 

 

 

Education:

  • University of Michigan-Flint - Bachelor's of Arts
  • Central Michigan University -  Currently attending the Masters’ program for Educational Leadership for Charter School Administrators.

 

Previous education experience and number of years in the field:

I have experience teaching pre-K through 8th grade. A majority of my educational experience has been in teaching middle school science.  I have been in the educational field for 10 years.

 

What do you like most about working here?

I enjoy the teamwork and atmosphere at Timberland Charter Academy. 

 

Other work experience we might want to mention:

I taught a graduate teaching course at the University of Michigan for one year.  This is my third year as a Middle School Dean.

 

Optional:  

I have been married for 14 years and have a ten year-old son. We have a Quaker parrot named Tweety who can say his own name. My hobbies are reading fictional books (I just completed Suzanne Collins Hunger Games Trilogy- phenomenal!), cooking and anything related to science!
