Warrendale Celebrates Top Rankings

Warrendale Charter Academy celebrated a recent article highlighting the school as No. 1 out of 18 area schools for academic improvement in ELA since 2016.

Principal Von Glass announced the accomplishment to staff and a full room of students during the school's first moral focus assembly. 

"Returning staff members were very excited to see their accomplishments," said Juanamia Kelley, a para at Warrendale. "New staff members are proud to be apart of a winning team and eager to contribute to our 2018-2019 success.

The Chalkbeat Detroit article read: 

"Consider Warrendale Charter Academy, an elementary school that is part of the for-profit National Heritage Academies and one of Detroit’s oldest charter schools. Since 2016, it has more than doubled its pass rate on the M-STEP English test, a statewide exam taken by students in grades 3 to 8, bringing its pass rate from 14.9 percent to 31 percent."
