Código de Vestimenta

Un código de vestimenta flexible y efectivo en costo se ha establecido en nuestra escuela para promover el éxito académico y al mismo tiempo reducir las distracciones y competencia. Si requiere asistencia para comprar uniformes, por favor llame a la escuela.

All Students

Students must wear solid-colored shirts with collars (includes Polo shirts, turtlenecks, long-or short-sleeved, cotton or cotton blend).  Shirts must be long enough to remain tucked in at all times.

Students must wear traditional dress style pants or shorts that are navy, black, or tan.  Pants and shorts must be hemmed and worn at the waist.  Shorts may not be more than four inches above the knees. Pants that are tight-fitting or made of stretch material such as leggings are not permitted.

Girls may wear capris, skirts, skorts, and jumpers that are navy, black, or tan.  The items may not be more than four inches above the knees.

Girls may wear solid color tights or leggings that are white, crème, brown, navy, black, or gray under skirts, skorts, or dresses.

Students must wear solid-colored socks that are white, crème, brown, navy, black, or gray.

Students may wear sweaters, vests, pullovers, or cardigans with collared shirts.  Hoods are not permitted.  Only sweatshirts with the South Arbor logo are permitted.

Brown, black, navy, white, or burgundy shoes (loafer type or casual dress) must be worn. Students may wear a brown, black, navy, or white solid-colored athletic shoe (shoes, laces, sole, etc. must be of those colors) in class. Athletic shoes of other colors may ONLY be worn during gym class or recess. Boots are permitted only as outerwear.  Heels on shoes must be no more than two inches.  Platform shoes, moccasins, clogs, or open-back shoes are not permitted.  Shoelaces must be tied.

Students must wear their personal ID badges at all times.  They are not permitted inside their classrooms without their badges.  Badges remain at school at the end of the day.  Replacement badges for lost or destroyed badges cost $3.00; replacement clips cost $0.25.

Hats of any kind may not be worn as classroom attire.  Bandanas are not permitted.

Extreme hairstyles and hair of unnatural color are not permitted.

Students may wear watches and one pair of stud earrings.  Other jewelry is not permitted. Scarves are also not permitted.

Makeup, artificial nails, and nail polish are not permitted.

Special Events

For field trips, the school dress code must be followed, unless otherwise notified by the classroom teacher.
For Jeans Days, students may wear blue jeans and tennis shoes with dress code shirts or South Arbor shirts of any kind. 

For Spirit Day, students may wear ANY South Arbor shirt (spirit, athletic, PTO-sponsored, etc.) with jeans and tennis shoes.

For Fall Yearbook Picture Day, students must follow the standard dress code.

For Spring Personal Picture Day, students may follow the standard dress code or wear more formal clothing (e.g., suits or dresses), per parental judgment.
