Learning is a lifelong process that extends beyond the walls of the classroom. At Johnston Charter Academy, students can explore their interests, learn new skills, and make new friends through a variety of extracurricular activities. Learn more about what we offer below.
Technology
We offer one-to-one technology, with each student receiving their own Chromebook.
Specials
Along with academics, our scholars will be exposed to the arts and more. We offer specials like music, PE, technology, and visual arts.
Electives
Our 6th-8th grade scholars will be able to choose elective classes. We offer band, drama, English I, journalism, leadership, math, media, science olympiad, technology, and yearbook. Not all electives are available for all grades.
In-School Programs
In addition to specials and electives, Johnston Charter Academy also offers other in-school program activities such as: Honor Role Awards, Monthly Perfect Attendance Awards, Peer Leadership, Safety Patrol, Student Government, and Student of the Month.
