Chandler Woods Student Service Project

Scholars from Chandler Woods’ National Junior Honor Society recently gathered for an afternoon of volunteer work for their annual service project to give back to the school community.

On a chilly weekend day, 21 eighth-grade students rolled up their sleeves and got to work for over six hours to lend a helping hand. The students spent the afternoon raking and cleaning the yards of teachers and others who could use some assistance.

With the help of school leaders, the NJHS advisor selected a variety of staff members who could use some extra help in their yards.

“The members of the NJHS enjoyed giving some weekend time back to the staff members who support the students of Chandler Woods,” said Sarah Zandstra, parent ambassador at Chandler Woods.

Keep up the great work, NJHS scholars!
