Atlanta Heights Charter School Wins Eagle Award from National Heritage Academies

National Heritage Academies (NHA), one of the nation’s largest charter school management companies, honored its top performing schools, including Atlanta Heights Charter School, during its 17th Annual Eagle Awards ceremony.

The event was held Monday, July 16, in Grand Rapids, Mich., with more than 500 principals and deans in attendance as part of a four-day Leadership Summit.

Atlanta Heights earned an Eagle Award for student attendance. The award is given to those schools at the 90th percentile achieving the lowest percentage of student excessive absences.

“I am so proud to accept this award on behalf of the entire staff at Atlanta Heights,” said Principal Alisha Fisher. “Strong student attendance is a huge part of ensuring a student is meeting their academic goals.”

NHA rewards schools in other areas including Schools of Excellence, employee engagement, parent satisfaction, and state accountability.
