Apex Academy Hosts Back to School Block Party

Apex Academy recently hosted its annual Back to School Block Party community event that aimed to ramp up student excitement for their return to school in August. The Block Party also aimed to reduce first-day anxiety by providing students and their families the chance to reconnect with friends and visit their teachers.

“Our Block Party was a wonderful opportunity for scholars to get ready and comfortable for the first day of school,” said Billi Watson, admissions representative at Apex Academy. “It offered students the chance to meet their teachers, learn about their school, meet their classmates, and have fun.”

With more than 1,000 people in attendance, the event was full of life. The event allowed students and community members to play in bounce houses and enjoy free food.

Throughout the evening, attendees enjoyed backpack and school supply giveaways, face painting stations, animal balloons, and raffles. A local barber was also in attendance and provided free haircuts for school-aged kids to help make them feel confident for the upcoming school year.
