Lamborghini Ride to School

An eighth-grade student at Warrendale Charter Academy, Kiera Dancy, arrived on the first day of school this year unlike anyone else in her classes. She was picked up and dropped off in a chauffeured Lamborghini.

Mojo in the Morning, a Detroit morning radio show, selected Dancy to be the recipient of its "Drive a Well Deserved Student to School in Style"  contest. A DJ from the station reported live about it throughout the morning on station 995. A local car dealership donated the car for the event.

"I was so excited," said Dancy, who is a member of the Warrendale student council and co-captain of the school's Zumba Z-team.

Dancy's mom nominated her for the chance to ride to school in the car that cost $140,000. The radio station was looking for a well-deserving student.

In addition to all the school involvement and leadership, Dancy works with her church and delivers vegetables to families in need throughout the community.

"I have met Kiera and she is so sweet and intelligent," said Shannon, one of the DJ's at the station, during the broadcast. "She deserves it so much."
