Why South Canton Scholars?

Founded on academic excellence, moral focus, parental partnership, and student responsibility, South Canton Scholars is a school like no other – one that can lead to a lifetime of success. We set high standards, focus on real-world skills, problem solving, and how to be a good citizen. Our exceptional teachers meet students at their ability level and challenge them to go beyond. Our students also draft a social contract that reinforces their commitment to their school, their teacher, and each other.

"After trying different school programs, public and private, this school is the one that really provides a challenge for my daughter and attends the parents’ needs as well." - South Canton Scholars Parent

South Canton Families-- Please read the emessage below from First Lady Michelle Obama. In honor of our students being college ready, I invite everyone to wear their college shirts tomorrow, Tuesday April 26th. Students must wear uniform bottoms and shoes. Looking forward to seeing all the college attire! Mrs. Terenzi Dear Friend, To help celebrate National College Signing Day – and the second anniversary of Reach Higher – I invite you to wear your college gear on Tuesday, April 26th. And I want to see pictures of you, your family, and your friends representing your favorite college with the hashtag #ReachHigher! We started this tradition in May 2014 when we launched our Reach Higher initiative to encourage students to complete their education beyond high school. People across the country helped us mark the first Signing Day by sporting their college apparel and sharing the importance of higher education on social media. I am thrilled with all we’ve accomplished in the past two years, but I know there is still more work to be done. Through this initiative, we will continue to support this Administration’s North Star Goal of having the highest proportion of college graduates in the world by 2020, and I want everyone to get involved! Be sure to tag our handles and use our hashtag #ReachHigher: Twitter: @FLOTUS // @ReachHigher Instagram: @MichelleObama // @ReachHigher2020 Thank you for helping us encourage our Nation's students. I can't wait to see (and retweet) your posts! Sincerely, First Lady Michelle Obama
