Eighth-grade-student, Amaurion Moore, at Regent Park Charter Academy (RPCA), designed a symbol to represent the moral focus virtue of courage in honor of Black History Month.
He created a t-shirt with the symbol and is selling them to start a college scholarship.
"He is a very talented artist," said Donell James, middle school dean at RPCA.
Amaurion hopes to attend the University of Michigan and study art. Anyone interested in purchasing a shirt may contact RPCA Principal Crystal Byse.
Pictured below are some of his drawings of prominent African American figures.
