North Saginaw Focuses on STEM

Students and parents at North Saginaw Charter Academy enjoyed an evening of STEM activities together in October.

Saginaw Valley State University hosted the Math and Family Engineering Night in the school gym. Tables were set up with various math and engineering stations. School staff volunteered at each of the tables.

“Our students enjoyed themselves,” said Mary Patillo-Dunn, principal of North Saginaw, who hopes to bring more STEM opportunities to students at North Saginaw. “This event gave parents and students a chance to interact–to play and learn together.”
