Nikole Laskov Named Principal of Milwaukee Scholars

Mrs. Nikole Laskov has been named the new principal of Milwaukee Scholars Charter School (MSCS). Her first official day was July 17.

“I am thrilled to join the Milwaukee Scholars family,” said Laskov. “In my short time here I have had the opportunity to meet with the leadership team and many of our teachers, learning a lot about the Milwaukee Scholars culture. I am most excited to meet our students and their families."

Laskov brings nearly two decades of teaching and leadership experience to her new role with MSCS, including a dozen years with charter schools. Most recently, she served as the head of schools for Galapagos Rockford Charter School in Rockford, Ill. Prior to that, she served as principal of the LEARN Campbell Campus on the west side of Chicago.

She also has nearly a decade of classroom teaching and coaching under her belt, teaching all subjects in many grade levels and working with hundreds of teachers throughout her career. Laskov holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Northern Iowa and is currently earning her master’s degree in education through a dual enrollment in St. Mary's of Minnesota and Educate – Wisc.

Milwaukee Scholars will welcome students back to school on Tuesday, Sept 5.
