Matthews Charter Academy (MCA) recently held their first community fall festival. The event included raffles, a silent auction, chicken beauty contest (yes you read that right), a bake sale, games, food, a costume contest, and trick or treating. Additionally, each class put together a themed basket to give away in the raffle.
“Events like this are so important to boost the presence of our school in the community and let everyone know that MCA is a wonderful option that they need to consider for the education of their children,” said Mary Funderburk, school ambassador at Matthews Charter Academy. “It also builds the camaraderie among the parents and scholars within MCA by giving them a fun event that they can be part of and have fun together.”
