National Heritage Academies (NHA), one of the nation’s largest charter school management companies, awarded Legacy Charter Academy with one Eagle Award. This is the 14th year NHA honored its top performing schools with Eagle Awards.

Legacy Charter Academy earned an Eagle Award for Schools of Excellence which means the school had superior performance in academic achievement and full enrollment for the 2012-2013 school year.

“We are proud to bring home this elite award that recognizes the accomplishments of our staff, scholars, and our parents,” said Principal Letoskey Carey. “It is a team effort to ensure all of our scholars are being challenged in the classroom each day.”

Along with Schools of Excellence, NHA rewards schools in other areas including:  Academic Growth, First Year Teacher Effectiveness, Employee Engagement, Parent Satisfaction, and Student Attendance.

Legacy Charter Academy is a free public charter school serving students in kindergarten through eighth grade.
