Greensboro Academy was recently named Guilford County’s No. 1 public elementary school by Niche.com.
“It is heartwarming to see our collective efforts come together into a positive environment for our students and families,” said Doug Hower, executive principal at Greensboro Academy. “This recognition is a direct result of our staff members, and the strong partnership we share with our parent body. It affirms my belief that positive things happen for students when a school partners with the parent community we serve.”
According to Niche, rankings are based on a rigorous analysis of key statistics and reviews from students and parents using data from the U.S. Department of Education. Ranking factors include state test scores, student-teacher ratio, student diversity, teacher quality, grade school ratings, and the overall quality of the school district.
