Dress Code

A flexible and cost effective dress code has been established at our school to encourage academic success while reducing distractions and competition. Implementing a simple, flexible, cost effective dress code promotes student learning and increased academic instruction time.

Please refer to the Student Handbook for the complete dress code policy.

Tops

Colors

K-5:  White or Burgundy shirt.
Middle School: White or Black shirt.
 

Type

Shirts with collars including: mock turtlenecks, long/short-sleeved, cotton or knit.

 

Cold Weather

Solid-colored sweaters or vests that are allowed.
K-5: Burgundy, Black or White.
Middle School: Black or White.
 

Add’l

K-5: May wear long-sleeve burgundy, white or black undergarments.
Middle School: May wear long-sleeve white or black undergarments.

Shirts must be tucked into pants.
 

Not Allowed
Sweatshirt/fleece material is not allowed.

Hair & Hygiene

Colors

Hair must be of natural tones.
 

Not Allowed

Extreme hairstyles and colored faux hair are not permitted.
Extreme hair accessories may not be worn.

Bottoms

Colors

Black and Khaki
 

Type

Pants, shorts, skirts, skorts, and jumpers.
If shorts, skirts, skorts, or jumpers are worn, they may fall no higher than 3 inches above the knee.
Pants must be worn at the waist.

Hats & Accessories

Shoes
 

Shoes must be mostly black in color and can be athletic or loafer style.  
Girls may wear fashion boots that are approved style and colors.

Belts

Belts must be a solid dark color.
Belts must be worn if pants, shorts, or skirts have belt loops.
 

Add’l

Girls jewelry must be modest in size and school appropriate.

Not Allowed

Hats of any kind are not permitted in the school building.
No large or inappropriate belt buckles are permitted.
Body piercing ornaments and tattoos are not permitted.
No sandals or open back shoes are allowed.
Winter Boots, are not permitted inside the classroom.  Alternate footwear must be brought for wearing indoors during inclement weather periods.  
Items of clothing or jewelry that visually identify a student as belonging to a specific group may be banned at the discretion of the principal.
Wearing, carrying and displaying gang paraphernalia, names, signs, or symbols of gang membership are prohibited.
Make-up is not allowed.
