Louise Moore Named Principal

Mrs. Louise Moore has been named the new principal of Eagle Crest Charter Academy. Mrs. Moore’s first official day was July 19.

“It is an honor to serve as the new leader of Eagle Crest Charter Academy,” said Moore. “As a West Michigan resident, I have heard wonderful things about the school community and I am excited to continue to meet our staff, students, and parents in the coming weeks. I look forward to welcoming all students back into the classroom on Sept. 5.”

Moore comes to Eagle Crest from Hudsonville Public Schools. With more than 24 years of educational experience, she has served in a variety of capacities including classroom teacher, middle school assistant principal, and for the past six years, elementary principal.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in secondary education, and a master’s degree in education leadership.  Both are from Grand Valley State University.

Moore and her family are proud West Michigan residents and look forward to continuing to work in the community.

Mr. Jack DeLeuuw, former principal, has accepted a promotion within National Heritage Academies to serve as a director of school quality.
