A List of "Bests" from the Past 10 Years

Amber Brandt  |  January 08, 2020
Welcome to a brand new year!

It’s amazing to consider that Y2K was twenty years ago now. Here are a few notable things that happened in 2000:
  • Cost of a gallon of gas: $1.26
  • The final Peanuts comic was released
  • US Postage stamp: 33 cents
  • Hillary Clinton was elected to the US Senate representing New York.
  • Cost of a loaf of bread: $1.72
  • Tiger Woods became the youngest player to win a Grand Slam in golf.
  • Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was released.
  • Cost of one dozen eggs: 89 cents
  • “Cast Away,” “Erin Brockovich,” and “Gladiator” were all huge box office hits.
We also did a little sleuthing around the internet to pull together the top “best of” lists from the past decade. Enjoy!
