Christine Harwood - Principal

Eight Years in education

 

What do you like most about working here?

I enjoy the new family I've acquired while working at Warrendale. Staff, students, and parents have become my additional family. I enjoy coming to work every day seeing students excited about learning.

 

Other work experience:

  • Athletic Director
  • 12 Years’ experience as a coach: basketball, volleyball, softball, and track

 

Personal Information:

I enjoy playing softball with the Warrendale team. I also enjoy spending time with family, friends, and my dog Logan.

Kimberly Piccione - Dean 4-6- interim

 

Education: 

  • Michigan State University - Bachelor of Arts, Education
  • Grand Valley State University - Master's Degree, Educational Leadership
 

Previous education experience:

 My first year of teaching was in Lakeland, Florida in 4th grade.  Then I taught 5 years at another National Heritage Academy, Detroit Merit Charter Academy. At Merit I taught 3rd grade (basic and novice)  for 4 years.   My last year at Merit, I had the opportunity to expand my teaching experience and taught 5th grade (proficient). Now, I am really excited to be a Warrendale Warrior and challenging every child to achieve!

 

 

What do you like most about working here?

I adore working with students!  I come to work every day with the students in mind. The idea of challenging a student’s life for success is a powerful thing.  I feel like working at Warrendale will be a great experience and I am jazzed to get to know my new students and colleagues.

Personal Information:

Previous education experience and number of years in the field:

I began working at Warrendale in 2006 as a technology teacher. I became a third grade teacher in 2007 and moved to 4th grade in 2010.

 

What do you like most about working here?

The students!! Love them!!

  • I have taught 1st grade 3 years

  • I have taught Novice 6th grade 2 years

 

What do you like most about working here?

  • I will enjoy getting to know my new colleagues and the new students.
  • I am going to enjoy helping the teachers to produce well educated students.
  • I feel like working at Warrendale will be a great experience.

 

Personal: 

I am the eldest of two children in my family. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I truly enjoy traveling. I love shopping and going to the movies.

What do you like most about working here?
I love that the children and staff are full of energy.  I have enjoyed seeing the growth of the students and the excitement on their faces when they reach their goals.
