Learning is a lifelong process that extends beyond the walls of the classroom. At Walker Charter Academy, students can explore their interests, learn new skills, and make new friends through a variety of extracurricular activities. Learn more about what we offer below.
Technology
We offer one-to-one technology, with each student receiving their own Chromebook.
Specials
Along with academics, our scholars will be exposed to the arts and more. We offer specials like library, music, PE, technology, and visual arts.
Electives
Our 5th-8th grade scholars will be able to choose elective classes. We offer band, book club, career exploration, choir, conundrum, cultural studies, divide and conquer, games and puzzles, habitudes, health and fitness, jazz band, journaling, let's collaborate, math art, mindstorm, musical theater, net sports, philosophy of sports exploration, wildcat workshop, and yearbook. Not all electives are available for all grades.
In-School Programs
In addition to specials and electives, Walker Charter Academy also offers other in-school program activities such as: National Junior Honor Society, Student Ambassadors, and Student Council.
