Christy Morrin, Principal

Education:

Southeast Missouri State University - Christy received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education Master of Education in Educational Leadership - from Grand Valley State University.
 

Previous education experience:

Teacher for thirteen years in traditional public, private and charter school settings in Missouri and Michigan I Began my administrative career in 1998 and began working as a building principal in February 2001

 

What do you like most about working here?

The best thing about working at Queen’s Grant is the people. The talented staff makes coming to work every day a pleasure. There is a strong sense of community at Queen’s Grant that can be felt the minute someone walks through the doors. The staff, students and parents work together to make this a wonderful school.
 

Personal Information:

I have two daughters who keep me busy with their activities. I am active in my church and enjoy working with the youth and singing in the choir. I am an avid reader and love to curl up with a good book.
 

 

Louise Robinson, Elementary Dean

UNC-Charlotte – Bachelor of Arts, English UNC-Charlotte – Masters of Education, IST UNC-Charlotte – Masters of Education, Curriculum Supervision

  

Previous education experience:

Teacher grades 4-12: English, Science, Computers Adult Business Writing classes
20+ years of experience

Krista Tolchin, Primary Dean

Education:

Western Michigan University - Bachelor Science Nova Southeastern University - Master’s Degree in Elementary Education
 

Previous education experience:

Taught first grade for five years at Endeavor Charter Academy in Battle Creek, MI
Taught Queen’s Grant Community School in 2003 where I taught Fourth grade for 1 year, First grade for four years, Instructional Coach for two years and two years as the Primary Dean.
 

What do you like most about working here?

I like the quality education that we provide each student. We have quality teachers who devote a lot of time challenging each child to achieve… The atmosphere is welcoming and like my second home.
 

Personal Information:

I have been married for eleven years to my husband Dan. I am a mother to two boys with one on the way. I enjoy relaxing and hanging out with my family and friends. I also enjoy camping, hiking and swimming in our pool. When I get a chance I enjoy reading, scrapbooking, and cooking.
 

Crystal R. Ferguson, Middle School Dean

University of North Carolina-Charlotte - Bachelors degree in Elementary Education
Middle Grade Science Certification
 

Previous education experience:

Taught 6th Grade for 4 years (Math, L.A., Science, Social Studies)
Taught 7th and 8th Grade Science for 2 years.
Dean since 2009 

What do you like most about working here?

National Heritage Academies is an innovative company with a focus on student success. Queen’s Grant is a school that teaches the “whole child”. The people here really care.
