To enable students to reach high academic standards, we've put in place a dress code designed to reduce distractions and competitions. Implementing a simple, flexible, cost-effective dress code promotes student learning and increased academic instruction time.
Personal Hygiene
The personal grooming of students should be in accord with the standards set by the uniform dress code. Students should be clean and neat when at school.
All Students
Students in grades K-5 must wear a burgundy shirt with a collar (long- or short-sleeved, cotton or knit). All shirts worn under uniform shirts must be solid white or burgundy.
Students in grades 6-8 must wear navy or light blue shirts with a collar (long- or short sleeved, cotton or knit). All shirts worn under uniform shirts must be solid white, navy, or light blue.
Solid navy sweaters, sweater vests, or Prevail sweatshirts are acceptable for grades K-8 over a collared uniform shirt. Students in grades K-5 may wear navy or burgundy sweaters.
No hoods, stripes, logos, patterns or fur are permitted including P.E. uniform.
All students must have shirts tucked into pants, shorts or skirts at all times.
All students must wear solid black, brown, or navy dress shoes.
Students have the option to wear solid black or solid white athletic shoes.
Shoes must be clean and free of distractions. Boots are permitted only as outerwear and must be removed upon entering the classroom.
Socks must be solid black, brown, navy or white.
Hats of any kind may not be worn inside the school building.
All students wearing bottoms with belt loops must wear a solid black, brown or navy belt and be free of any adornments.
Hairstyles must be conservative; not covering the eyes and of natural tones. Extreme hairstyles are not permitted. Visible markings, tattoos or writing on the skin is not permitted.
Wearing, carrying, and displaying gang paraphernalia, names, signs, or symbols of gang membership are prohibited.
Prevail wear is permitted only on announced days as determined by the principal or deans.
Physical education uniforms for grades K-8 consist of solid grey sweatpants or grey shorts with grey crew neck ( long- or short- sleeved) t-shirts. Grey hoodless sweatshirts may also be worn.
Boys
Students in grades K-5 must wear uniform-style pants or shorts that are navy. Shorts must be no shorter than three inches above the knees.
Students in grades 6-8 must wear uniform-style pants or shorts that are khaki. Shorts must be no shorter than three inches above the knees.
Earrings and body piercing ornaments are not permitted.
Girls
Students in grades K-5 must wear uniform-style pants, shorts skirts, skorts, jumpers, or capri pants that are navy.

Students in grades 6-8 must wear uniform-style pants, shorts, skirts, skorts, jumpers, or capri pants that are khaki.
All bottoms must be no shorter than three inches above the knees.
Only solid white or navy tights and leggings may be worn. Leggings must cover ankles and worn with socks.
A reasonable number of earrings are permitted. Only ears may be pierced. Body piercing ornaments are not permitted.
Makeup must be in good taste. A student wearing makeup in a way that draws attention or distracts others will be asked to wash it off.
Girls may not carry purses.
