Ginny Schemrich, Principal

Education:

Kent State University - Bachelor's Degree in Education
Bowling Green University - Master's Degree in Educational Administration

Previous education experience and number of years in the field:

I have been a school administrator for 13 years and an educator for 15 years. I spent the early years of my career teaching physical education.

What do you like most about working here?

I like that NHA is a system of schools with a common vision and mission. My team is incredible and I like working with our Pinnacle families to provide a positive educational experience

Other work experience we might want to mention:

I was the Site Coordinator for the Champions Summer Program at Pinnacle Academy in the summer of 2009

Personal:

I’m a wife to a high school art teacher and a stepmom to a 17 year old stepson. I was a part of the original team that opened Pinnacle Academy in 2004. I’ve had the experience of watching the school evolve over time and am pleased with its development.

Sherry Knoll, Dean K-2 and Special Education

Education:

Kent State University - Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education
Ursuline College - Currently working on a Master's Degree in Educational Administration

Previous education experience and number of years in the field:

During my tenure at Pinnacle Academy I have served as the New Teacher Coach and Lead Kindergarten teacher. I have also taught in Shaker City Schools.

What do you like most about working here?

I enjoy the students at Pinnacle Academy

Personal:

I am married with three grown children. I have a cat named Sylvester or Silly for short.

Melissa Galgoczy, Dean

Education:

Wayne State University - Bachelor's Degree in Education: English Major

Previous education experience and number of years in the field:

2nd grade teacher – St. Cyril Taylor, MI 2 years
5th and 2nd grade teacher-Warrendale Charter (NHA) 4 yrs.
2nd grade- Taylor Exemplar (NHA) 2 yrs.

What do you like most about working here?

I love the sense of community between the parents, students and staff as well as Pinnacle’s commitment to academic success makes it a great place to work.

Personal:

I have been married for six years to a wonderful man. We have two beautiful daughters and Charlie, our dog.

Yolonda Ryzner, Dean

Education:

Ohio University - Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education: PreK-3 Reading Endorsement and Psychology Minor
Ursuline College - Currently working on a Master's Degree in Educational Administration

Previous education experience and number of years in the field:

Before becoming a part of the Pinnacle team I was a reading specialist in Charlotte, North Carolina. Then I was a reading specialist and a 3rd and 4th grade teacher at Apex Academy.

What do you like most about working here?

I enjoy working with a supportive staff and students. I also enjoy helping with the needs of a variety of areas.

My position leads me to new experiences and challenges every day. I appreciate how much I have learned and continuing learning from my everyday events.

Stephanie Mathias, Middle School Dean

Education:

I am licensed in Middle Childhood Education, Math and Social Studies, from Cleveland State University.

Previous education experience and number of years in the field:

I taught 7th and 8th grade math and social studies for 4 years.

What do you like most about working here?

I like that the Pinnacle teachers and staff are a great team. We all work together for our ultimate goal: Student Achievement.

I have two children, Johnny and Ailani. During my off time, I like to watch and play sports.
