Paramount Charter Academy eighth graders this week extend a hand to the local Senior Citizens at Park Place Assisted Living in Kalamazoo. The students went to Park Place to carve pumpkins with the residents and visit with them. The students were deeply involved with conversations with the seniors and are now eager to serve them again. Following their visit, the students talked about the stories they heard from the seniors, how sweet they were and how much they gained from giving back. Paramount students are planning two more visits to Park Place in November and December. To find out more about Paramount Charter Academy and their service-minded students, please contact Lisa Orlando at 269-553-6400 Ext. 190 or visit www.ParamountCharterAcademy.Org. Pictured here: Paramount eighth grade student Hannah Argue and Park Place resident Jane VanderMeer show off the cheerful pumpkin they carved together.
