MATTAWAN — Mya Pearl Hoke, of Mattawan and a student at Paramount Charter Academy, attended the People to People World Leadership Forum in Washington, D.C., this summer.
While there, she studied leadership and explored some of the many U.S. monuments and institutions. She also participated in small-group discussions and exercises to experience firsthand how successful leaders develop strategies, make decisions, build consensus and foster change.
Mya was accepted in the program based on outstanding scholastic merit, civic involvement and leadership potential. For more information about the forum, visit
