Previous education experience and number of years in the field:

I began my professional career in education in 1987. I served 15 years in another school system in the roles of middle school teacher and three years as a school principal. I began working for NHA in 2002. Since that time, I have served as a 6th grade teacher, mentor, lead mentor, wing leader, Math Specialist, and now am pleased to have the opportunity to work with our staff, students, and parents as a Dean in our building.

What do you like most about working here?

Over the years I have spent with NHA, I have enjoyed being a part of an educational program focused on success for each child. The personalized instruction, the dedicated staff I’ve had the pleasure to work with, the behavioral and academic expectations, and most importantly knowing that our program is making a difference in the lives of our students and families all contribute to my reasons for enjoying being a member of the NHA team.

Personal Information:

I enjoy spending time with my husband, Raymond and two children, Cayne and Clarissa.  Sharing time with them visiting local attractions and just being at home with them is the greatest gift in my life

What do you like most about working here?

I love the students and their families.  The atmosphere allows for the staff to really get to know the kids and their families.  I also love the staff here.  They are the kindest, hardest working people I have ever met.

Personal Information:

I have been married for 7 years to my husband, Jeep Van Wormer.  I love traveling, boating, watching sports, especially hockey, but I think nothing beats curling up with a great book.
