6th-8th Grade

For middle school students, college opportunity means making sure they are prepared to excel in high school. This, in turn, sets them up for their post-secondary education. Each year's curriculum is designed to build on what they learned the previous year. That way, they're always growing and being challenged to succeed.

A child starts out learning to read. Soon, they’re reading to learn. The curriculum focuses on comprehension, fluency, and expanding their vocabulary. Mathematical concepts and reasoning are further developed to prepare students for the rigors of algebra and geometry. They conduct hands-on scientific experiments and investigations. In social studies, they learn American and ancient history, state studies, economics, and geography. The bar is set high in an effort to give them a head start on their future—to high school, college and beyond.
