Crystal Byse, Principal
Education:
I attended Langston University in Langston, Oklahoma in pursuit of an undergraduate degree in Business Education and I earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Davenport University. I am currently in attendance at Eastern Michigan University in pursuit Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership.
Previous Education Experience:
I have taught both Kindergarten and Fourth Grade in addition to serving as a Principal at a Charter High School during my 15 years education experience. During my 7 years with NHA, I’ve served as an Assistant Principal, Interim Principal, Dean and also Principal-In-Residence.
What do you like most about working here?
I like the commitment of both staff and parents to quality instruction that promotes student proficiency and growth. In addition, I appreciate the cultural diversity of our student and staff body.
Other work experience we might want to mention:
I’ve taught Adult Basic Computer skills and Basic Math
Personal:
I have a 20 year old son who attended Hampton University during his freshman year of college, but is now a student at Eastern Michigan University. My daughters are twins and will be in the 11
th
grade this school year. We affectionately own a Miniature Schnauzer named “Smokey”. I believe all children can learn, and that each child deserves a quality education where teachers care, and have the highest
expectations
