Tops:
Solid colored polo-style, collared shirt.
Solid colored turtleneck or mock turtleneck.
Solid colored button-front dress/oxford shirt or blouse with a collar.
No logos, trademarks or insignias on the shirt or shirt pocket are allowed except for a Greensboro Academy logo.
Shirts and blouses may have short or long sleeves. Sleeveless shirts may not be worn. Only solid white T-shirts may be worn underneath the collared shirt.
Shirts must be tucked in for the academic day. Shirts must be appropriately sized; no tight fitting or oversized garments are allowed.
Bottoms:
Boys: Solid navy or Khaki traditional/standard slacks, flat pocket cargo pants or walking shorts. Shorts must not be longer than knee length.
Girls: Solid navy or Khaki traditional/standard slacks, flat pocket cargo pants, capris or walking shorts. Skirts, culottes, jumpers, shorts or skorts must be below fingertip length.
Fabric must be cotton twill, cotton blend or corduroy. For 2nd grade and up, belts must be worn with any garment with belt loops. Denim will be allowed on School Spirit Day, the first Monday of each month.
All clothing must be neat, sized appropriately and in good repair. No excessively tight or loose clothing shall be permitted. Pant hems may not touch or drag the floor.
Outerwear / Footwear / Etc.:
Sweaters and sweatshirts (crew neck, v-neck, vest or cardigan in style) must be solid in color and worn over a collared shirt. The collar must be visible at all times. Sweaters and sweatshirts must not bear any insignia, logos, or pictures, other than a Greensboro Academy logo.
Zippered vests, pullovers, hooded tops and jackets must be left in locker at the beginning of the school day. Jackets are to be worn only outside the building during cold weather. No headgear is to be worn inside the building.
For safety purposes, socks or hosiery must be worn with shoes with closed toes and heels. Heels must not exceed 1” in height. Athletic shoes are required for P.E.
Hair must be well kempt and remain out of the eyes. Extreme hairstyles are not permitted. Hair color should be of natural tones.
Boys may not wear earrings. Girls may wear no more than two earrings in each ear. Excessive or distracting jewelry, chains, or other adornment (makeup, body piercing, tattoo, etc.) is not allowed.
