Bachelors in Education Bible and Christian Education from Columbia International University.Masters in Educational Administration from Grand Canyon University.
6 years in full time youth ministry. Served as a 4th grade teacher at GA for the first three years of the schools opening. Spent 1 ½ years as the assistant principal and spent the last 9 years as the principal at GA.
The family atmosphere we have created that supports our entire school. We look after our student’s as if they were our own children. We work together to help each other grow as teachers, students, and families.
I have four children one in college and one going to college in the fall. The other two are students at a local high school. I’m a movie buff and love to swing my golf clubs even if I do so very ineffectively.
Education: I attended Westminster College in PA for my undergraduate degree which was a BA in Elementary Education. I received a Master’s of Ed. from Elon University in 2006. Previous education experience and number of years in the field: I taught in Eden, NC for 5 years teaching 4th/5th grade prior to coming to Greensboro Academy. I taught 5th grade at GA for 4 years. I served as Instructional Coach for 2 years at GA prior to becoming dean. This is my second year in this role. What do you like most about working here? I absolutely love my colleagues and their passion for what they do. They are by far the best educators I have met. Personal Information: I have a wonderful husband named Jeff and 2 beautiful twin daughters named Sophia and Evelyn who will be turning 5 years old this year and a baby son named Andrew.
