Dress Code

To enable students to reach high academic standards, we've put in place a dress code designed to reduce distractions and competitions. Implementing a simple, flexible, cost-effective dress code promotes student learning and increased academic instruction time.

 

All Students

  • Students must wear white polo shirts with no logos.

  • Pants must be navy blue in color.

  • Shoes must be solid black in color and can be athletic shoes or loafers. No sandals or open back shoes are allowed. Athletic shoes may not have lights, wheels, etc.

  • Navy, white, or black socks must be worn.

  • Boots are not permitted inside the building. Alternate footwear must be brought for wearing indoors during inclement weather periods.

  • Cold weather attire may include solid-colored navy or white sweaters or vests.

  • Sweatshirt material is not allowed.

  • Long-sleeve undergarments may be white or navy blue.

  • Hats of any kind are not permitted inside the building.

  • Extreme hairstyles are not permitted. Hair color must be of natural tones and may not be professionally colored, dyed, or streaked.

  • Headbands must be worn on the hair and not on the face or forehead.

  • Shirts must be tucked into pants. Pants must be kept at the waist.

  • Belts must be worn if pants, shorts, or skirts have belt loops.

  • Belts must be solid black. No large or inappropriate belt buckles are permitted.

  • On Scout or school athletic event days, team members may wear uniforms or dress-up clothes, including ties for boys.

  • Girls jewelry must be modest in size, school appropriate and limited to one bracelet per arm and one necklace.

  • All jewelry (including earrings) must be removed for any athletic participation.

  • A maximum of one earring per ear is permitted. Only ears may be pierced.

  • Body piercing ornaments and tattoos are not allowed.

  • Items of clothing or jewelry that visually identify a student as belonging to a specific group may be banned at the discretion of the principal.

  • Wearing, carrying, and displaying gang paraphernalia, names, signs, or symbols of gang membership are prohibited.

Boys

  • Hairstyles must be conservative with hair being off the collar.

  • Earrings are not permitted.

Girls

  • Navy blue pants, Capri pants, skirts, skorts, shorts, or jumpers must be worn and must fall no higher than three inches above the knees.

  • Only solid white or navy blue leggings are permitted and must be worn with socks.

  • Makeup is not permitted (including middle school students).
