To provide students with the mathematical skills they will need in everyday life as well as in the rigors of high school and post-high school mathematics, we have developed a strong mathematics curriculum that emphasizes communicating, computational and procedural skills, making connections, reasoning and proofing, problem solving, and using representations. Students learn to represent and communicate ideas through graphs, mathematical terms, models, signs, symbols, and writing.
Students can lose up to one grade level of instruction over time without supplemental learning opportunities.
