I want to sincerely thank and recognize the parents who have followed procedures and traffic policy. Which is about 95 % of you. THANKS for doing your job and keeping our students SAFE.
I am bewildered by the parents who choose to teach their children how to disregard and disrespect rules; both traffic rules and school rules. It is unfortunate that you have chosen a moral focus school and would put families and students at risk to save yourself 3 to 5 minutes of time.
Going forward the school has again contacted the Washtenaw sheriff and Ypsilanti Township law enforcement and appropriate consequences will occur. I would hate to have to discipline the children for the choices of their parents however parents Parents need to cease from to violating both legal and school rules such as parking on Golfside, using neighbors driveways, parking on neighbors lawns and being rude to our staff who are committed to your child’s safety.
