Cleashae Crowder, 8th grader at Endeavor Charter Academy, was recently selected by LeadAmerica to attend its National Junior Leaders Conference in Washington D.C. next June. / Endeavor Charter Academy
As a result of her exemplary academic record, extracurricular activities, and community volunteerism, Cleashae Crowder, 8th grader at Endeavor Charter Academy, was recently selected by LeadAmerica to attend its National Junior Leaders Conference and Leadership University Summit at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. next June. After receiving a nomination from Endeavor educators Amy Cook and Nicole Stranger, Crowder was selected by the LeadAmerica Board of Directors and Honorary Board of Advisors to receive the coveted honor of attending the summer program in 2012.
The Leadership University Summit is intended to unlock students leadership potential by nurturing their natural talents and teaching them specific skills that can be used in realistic, hands-on scenarios.
I am extremely excited about the opportunity, skills, and knowledge LeadAmerica is offering me, said Cleashae. I chose this particular program because it will assist in transforming me into a future dedicated leader, uncover my true abilities, mold my leadership attitudes, and develop lifelong skills so I can work towards and reach my full potential as a leader.
Through role-playing and time-sensitive challenges, Crowder will practice and develop core leadership skills such as team building, public speaking and conflict resolution. She has chosen law as her field of study and will have the opportunity to meet with national and international leaders to learn firsthand the complexities of decision making in the profession.
We are very proud of Cleashae for receiving this prestigious placement with LeadAmerica, said Russ Ainslie, principal. We have no doubt she is in store for a summer full of opportunities that will enhance her natural leadership abilities.
