Emma Hecht, 8th grader at Endeavor Academy, is the first Winter Reading Winner at Willard Library this year. Students in 6th through 12th grade may turn in short book reviews (up to two per week per student, please) to be eligible for weekly prizes.

 

This teen and tween winter reading program runs now through Wednesday, February 29.

 

According to Stephanie Boyd, teen librarian: "It's an easy way for students to stay in touch with leisure reading, even while having school work to do. The prizes are an extra incentive! All area tweens and teens are welcome to participate."

 

Each winner will be notified by phone. Prizes may be picked up at Willard Library or the Helen Warner Branch.

 

Weekly prizes will include gift cards from a variety of establishments such as Subway, Schlotzskys, Pizza Hut, Starbucks, Barnes and Noble and Lakeview Cinema.

Emma won a $20 gift card to Pastrami Joe's.
