To enable students to reach high academic standards, we've put in place a dress code designed to reduce distractions and competitions. Implementing a simple, flexible, cost-effective dress code promotes student learning and increased academic instruction time.
All Students
Students must wear white, light blue, dark blue, or red shirts that have collars (includes mock turtleneck, long- or short-sleeved, cotton or knit). T-shirts, sweatshirts, and hooded sweatshirts are not permitted.
Cold weather attire may include solid-colored sweaters, over shirts, or vests that are white,light blue, dark blue, or red. Hooded sweaters are not permitted.
Students must wear dress shoes that are brown, black, navy, or burgundy or athletic shoesthat are white with white or gray soles.
Students must wear white or navy socks (or tights for girls).
Hats of any kind may not be worn inside the building.
Extreme hairstyles as determined by the administration are not permitted (e.g., shave lines, designs, unnatural colors, Mohawks etc.). Hair color must be of natural tones.
Wearing, carrying, and displaying gang paraphernalia, names, signs, or symbols of gang membership are prohibited.
Backpacks, purses, satchels, etc. are prohibited in hallways and classrooms during instructional hours. The aforementioned items are to be stored in student lockers upon arrival and kept there until dismissal.
Excessive jewelry and/or accessories as determined by administration is not permitted.
Boys
Boys must wear black, dark blue, or khaki pants or shorts. Cargo pants are not permitted.
Shirts must be tucked into pants or shorts at all times.
Hairstyles must be conservative. Shave lines, designs, unnatural colors, Mohawks, etc. are not permitted.
Only one (1) set of stud-post earrings are permitted. Only ears may be pierced.
Girls
Girls must wear black, dark blue, or khaki pants, skirts, skorts, shorts, or jumpers. All bottoms must be either longer than the fingers when the student’s arms hang at her sides or no more than two inches above the knees.
If tights are worn they must be black, white, or of skin tones.
No more than two pair of earrings are permitted. Only ears may be pierced.
Makeup is not permitted.
Shirts must be tucked in at all times.
Hairstyles must be conservative. Unnatural colors, Mohawks, etc. are not permitted.
