Dress Code

To enable students to reach high academic standards, we've put in place a dress code designed to reduce distractions and competitions. Implementing a simple, flexible, cost-effective dress code promotes student learning and increased academic instruction time.

Personal Hygiene

The personal grooming of students should be in accord with the standards set by the uniform dress code. Students should be clean and neat when at school.

All Students

  • All students are required to wear the school uniform in its entirety every day. Students who are not in uniform when they come to school will be sent home.

  • Students must wear khaki/tan long pants or skirts that reach the knees. Capri pants and shorts are not permitted. Leggings for girls are not permitted.

  • Students must wear black or solid navy belts.

  • Shoes must be solid-colored black dress shoes or athletic shoes.

  • Students must wear black, solid navy, or solid white socks or tights.

  • Boots are not permitted.

  • Body piercings and visible temporary tattoos are not permitted. Boys may not wear earrings.

  • Shirts must be tucked into pants.

  • Jackets, Hoodies, sweatshirts, and coats may not be worn during the school day.

  • Students must keep purses and bags in their lockers during the school day.

  • Students may not wear colored undergarments that are visible through the uniform shirt or bottom. Undergarments may not be visibly sticking out of the uniform shirt or bottom.

  • Students may not wear accessories that do not coordinate with the school uniform (e.g., headbands and belts that glow, glitter, or light up; and scarves, doo-rags, and hats).

Grades K-5

  • Navy blue polo knit shirts (short- or long-sleeved) must be worn.

  • Students have the option of wearing navy blue cardigan sweaters.

Grades 6-8

  • Students must wear white or light blue oxford button-down, collared shirts (rounded collar for girls).

  • Students must wear solid black or navy blue ties (both boys and girls).

  • For select 8th grade students, navy blue blazers must be worn. They can be rented through the school.
